Pair of Gondole armchairs, in the Maurice Dufrêne style, 1920-1930’s

Pair of black laquered and gilt highlights armchairs, in the style of Maurice Dufrêne (1876-1955).
They are standing on two front grooved ogive legs and two small back saber legs.
Backseat framed with a round moulding and adorned with vegetal and swirls carved patterns.
Red velvet upholstery.
Model in the taste of famous French cabinetmaker and chief decorator Maurice Dufrêne, co-founder of the French Société des artistes décorateurs (SAD).

Work from the Art Deco period, circa 1920-1930. Restored in our workshops.
