Votre Maison
was created in 1949 by Jacques Chambron and Robert Guillerme during their meeting with Emile Dariosecq, owner of a cabinetmaking workshop. Robert Guillerme graduated from the Boulle school in 1934 and excelled in the creation of interior furniture and architecture. Jacques Chambron graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Reims and continued to work as a painter-decorator in Paris after the Second World War. In the 1970s, Jacques Chambron’s son, Hervé, joined the company, and began creating his own creations in 1983. Your house then became a reference brand in terms of quality furniture from the 1950s.

Robert Guillerme (1913-1990) and Jacques Chambron (1914-2001) are two French creators of the brand “Votre Maison”, a famous furniture manufacturing and interior decoration workshop of the 1950s. Guillerme is a graduate of the School Boulle in 1940 then became an architect and interior designer for the Rogier establishments. As for Chambron, he graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Reims in 1938 and then became a decorative painter in his own workshop. The two men met after the war and created their own company “Votre Maison” where each had a specific role: Guillerme created, Chambron took care of the commercial side and Emile Dariosecq, cabinetmaker, made the furniture. Success was rapid and they created a wide variety of inexpensive furniture with the use of materials and techniques characteristic of the house such as waxed oak, a light shade of wood or a dark shade obtained using iron oxide. The armchairs and sofas are made on the same model with worked backs, waxed wood and a thick cushion for the seat. In the 1970s, the company was taken over by Chambron’s son who subsequently created his own creations.
