Bar Cabinet in Japanese black lacquer, 19th century

Cabinet-bar in black lacquer from Japan made at the end of the 18th century or in the early 19th century, opening with two door panels on six drawers ad two small leaves facade.
The face is in reality a flap veneered with the original six drawers front. It opens on an inside covered with mirors and having two glass shelves. This modification was probably made around the end of the 19th century – early 20th century.
The lacquer cabinet is decorated with landscapes and vegetables, on his sides and on the inside and the outside of the door panels. It’s also adorned with rich gilt bronzes on hinges, angles and the closing mecanism of the door panels.

The cabinet is on a Louis XIII stand from the second half of the XIXth century, in painted wood with vegetal patterns and formed with four spiral turned wood legs connected by a H spacer also adorned with vegetal patterns and scrollings..
