Arne Vodder (1926-2002) is a Danish designer. After studying cabinetmaking and architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, he graduated in 1947. Known for the simplicity of his lines, he favored furniture from noble woods such as such as rosewood or teak. In 1950, he founded his own architecture and design studio in collaboration with Anton Borg and created both low-cost furniture and houses. His productions will be published by major houses, such as Fritz Hansen and France & Son. During the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, he furnished part of the White House as well as the United Nations headquarters in Geneva.
