Blue glass bonbonniere mounted in silvered metal, Napoleon III period
Napoleon III bonbonniere made of a cylindrical dark blue molded glass vase circled by a decorative silvered metal mount. It stands on a circular gadroon base with four legs. Four baluster shape uprights, decorated with palmettes and volutes, lead to the upper rosette frieze. The whole ensemble is covered by a repousse and guilloche metallic lid, adorned with grotesque and underlined by acanthus leaves and pearl friezes. A stylized bulb tops the lid.
