Curtis & Jeré are an American-born design duo. It is the pseudonym of Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels, Jerry Fels being Curtis Freiler’s brother-in-law. They were active in New York from the 1960s, and had their works produced through the firm they founded in 1962, Artisan House, a company that employed up to 300 people.
Their work is characterized above all by the production of numerous sculptures, wall sculptures or decorative panels, ranging from abstraction to the most meticulous figuration. The materials used are enamel, copper, pewter and steel with traditional techniques such as enamelling, casting resin and bronze casting.
