Transition style bergere in gilt wood and leather, circa 1880

Transition style bergere in gilt wood standing on four cabriole legs finished by scrolls and adorned with acanthus leaves and topped by joints decorated with rosettes. Bulged apron adorned with a bucks frieze.
Arm consoles on the leg line decorated with acanthus leaves. Arms with leather manchettes. Gondole shape back covered by caramel leather on the front and gilt cane on the back. Decor of foliage swags and ribonned rushes.
Cane seat covered by a leather cushion hit with small gilt irons figuring interlacing with small flowers.

Work realized circa 1880.

Patinated leather due to use and time. Some scratches on the leather. Small holes in cane.
