Small Louis XV style yellow lacquered commode, circa 1950

Small Louis XV style Chinese style yellow lacquered commode with a Chinese decor opening with two drawers sans traverse and standing on four console legs. Bulged shaped and scalloped lower crossbar.

In front and framed on side, ornaments on a yellow background lacquer in the Chinese style, figuring a flowery tree, flowers such as chrysanthemum, birds and butterflies.
Ornamentation of chiselled and gilt bronze on angles, shoes of front legs and the keyhole, upper drawer closing with a key.
Scalloped Peach Flower marble top.

Stamped “Chardonnay” with a fleur-de-lis under the marble tray on the front angles.
