Marcel Breuer (1902-1981) was an Hungarian furniture designer and architect, particularly known for being at the origin of the first revolution in design furniture in the 20th century thanks to the creation of the armchair “Wassily”  in the 1920’s, named in tribute to his friend Wassily Kandinsky. He belonged to Bauhaus school where he realized his biggest works in which is illustrated the desire  to give more importance to the function of the object than to its aesthetics. He is recognized as one of the most famous designers of the XXth 20th century.
