“Karate” chair with a white fiberglass shell with a seat and back in quilted cream leather. Tubular legs in chromed metal forming two half-circles linked with each other.

Work realized in the 1970’s.

Michel Cadestin (1942) is a French designer graduated from the Boulle school in 1961 and from the National Superior School of Decorative Arts in 1964. He became a member of the Decorators Artists Society in 1966.
In 1970, he started to work for Teda specialized in interior architecture and also continued his researches on housing and modular, inflatable and removable furniture. He also met Christian Ragot with whom he realized researches on materials such as latex foam and plastic. He left the company n 1983 and founded his own agency “Création Recherche” based on interior architecture and design of products for houses and collectivity. In 1988, he received the René Gabriel prize for all his work.
These last years he works on buildings renovation and on interior architecture.
Michel Cadestin always search all along his career to create a design for many people, functional and fun. He always search to adapt the large funriture series to the smaller domain of house.
