Pere Cosp i Villaro (1907-2007)Pere Cosp i Villaro (1907-2007), furniture manufacturer and decorator established in Barcelona, he was active since 1940’s. Essentially autodidact, Pere Cosp managed the manufacture workshop in an innovative way, often opposite to current trends. Transgressive, he mixed styles between them and took over each decorative detail on every building project.
This model of game table was taken over in many projects of Pere Cosp. We saw it with an apron richly adorned in the 1950’s, in an apartment of the Queen Victoria street in Madrid, where it took place in a very classical atmosphere treated with many freedom. We also saw it reinterpreted in an Art Nouveau version in the 1970’s in a flat in the Doctor Ferran street.
