Pair of Louis XVI style bergeres in grey lacquered wood, end 19th century

Pair of Louis XVI style bergeres in grey lacquered wood standing on four tapered, fluted legs and fixed on the apron by joints decorated with rosettes. Slightly curved apron adorned with a ribbonned rush and a frieze of olives and piecettes. Arm supports on the leg line, fluted and chandelles, adorned with laurel leaves and supporting arms with manchettes finishing in scroll forming handle.
Uprights adorned with carved ribbonned laurel leaves and a frieze of olives and piecettes, flowers and foliage. Medallion back garnished with cheeks, decorated on its top by a foliage flowers swag. Seat garnishes with a cushion.

Trim and manchettes entirely reupholstered by our workshops with a clear blue damas from the Maison Lelièvre, “Rambouillet” collection, “Rabouiller Nattier Bis” reference, with medallions motifs garnish with a flowery basket.

The Maison Lelièvre was created in 1914 by Henri Lelièvre who bought the Maison Piquée et Logerot, specialized in velvet. In 1935, Madeleine Lelièvre took the lead of the company after the death of her husband and then passed it to her son Paul who created the silk velvet. The latter took the lead of Victor Coates, company specialized since 1927 in English prints, permitting him to enlarge his fabrics offer.
In 1973, Patrick Lelièvre bought the Lyon silk manufacturer Quenin, specialized in weaving of silk furnishing fabrics and twenty years later, the Maison bought one of the French silk flaship : Tassinari & Chatel, showing yet the evolution in the manufacture offer. Since 2010, collaborations with stylists such as Sonia Rykiel or Jean-Paul Gaultier permitted to modernize the maison, even created their first wallpapers. All along their story, the Maison Lelièvre answered to the specific demands of hotel market and offer to its clients customised creations.
