Maison Baguès

A pair of rectangular coffee tables or side tables with two tabletops: one made of eglomized glass with an antique glass finish, and the other made of clear glass. The bamboo style legs are made of gilded bronze and terminate in a decorative element shaped like oak acorns, crafted from chiseled and gilded bronze. Natural patina on the gilding.

Baguès is a lighting manufacturer founded in 1840 by Noël Baguès, which first was specialized first in manufacturing liturgical bronzes manufacturing. With the generalization of electricity in the household, the Bagues house starts the realization of lighting bronzes in the 1860’s. Bagues’ chandeliers are exported worldwide et make Bagues a reference in the luminaire lighting field thanks to its craftsmanship. Materials are shaped by traditional techniques as well as crimping, gilding, and patina which allow Bagues to have the status of Living Heritage Business, a witness of studio’s historical savoir-faire and their transmission.
