Georges Frydman
, born in 1924, is a French designer whose work is part of the functionalist and modernist curren, inspired by Bauhaus creations. After meeting Le Corbusier, in 1954 he founded the Functional Equipment for Housing, better known by the acronym AFA. His work has appeared in the journal l’Architecture d’Aujourd’hui. In 1966, Frydman received the René Gabriel Prize, an award that pays tribute to designers of serial furniture lines that are both qualitative and economical.
