“The Offerings”, pair of neoclassical bas-reliefs, 19th century
Pair of bas-reliefs in white plaster figuring two antiques vestals. Both in profile, one holding in her hand a small jar and the other one holding a cup which releases, probably, burning incense. They are both hair dressed and dressed like in Antiquity, with a himation. They stand on small platforms decorated with the head of the god Mercury surrounding by two cornucopias.
Frame in bronze color patinated wood.
Work realized in the 19th century.
