Red Japanese lacquer four panels folding screen “yonkyoku byobu”.
The panels are decorated with gold highlights.
On the front of each of them, a three-parts composition is made of, from the bottom, a Foo dog, an outdoor scene with three characters in various situations and upwards, in a medallion, the tools for calligraphy, tea ceremony and other activities of literati’s lifestyle.
On the back, the four panels are decorated with Japanese calligraphy.

Japanese work from Meiji period (1868-1912), condition conform to the age of the item. Some marks on the lacquer, good structural condition.
