Jonathan Ausseresse. Large sculpture in azure blue glass. Contemporary.

Jonathan Ausseresse

Large glass sculpture in shades of azure blue. The smooth, glossy, and colorful surface of the glass contrasts with the matte, rough volcanic rock base.

In this series, which he has titled “Fluence,” the artist developed a unique process to express the movements of molten glass : “Thus, the glass retains the imprint and trajectory of its transformation at high temperatures. The glass solidifies, capturing a slow movement, a wave, a flow for eternity.”

Signed and numbered on the glass.
