French Directoire screen figuring a neoclassic style garden, late 18th century

Five leaves Directoire screen covered with wallpaper figuring an exterior scene in a Directoire period garden with trompe-l’œil framing.
Decor of a scene in a garden on the river’s edge, with different characters: a couple with their children, a woman with a sunshade, gardeners, a man who claimed his love to a woman… The Antic style garden is composed of trees, a statue of Diana the Huntress, a tholos surrounded by antique statues, a large arched monument which access is via a large stairs and an Italian style villa at the left of the scene. In the blue slightly cloudy sky flies a balloon.
At the back of the screen, every leave is divided in two parts, letting appear a decor of flowers vases, tulips alternating with roses, in a cream cut edges frame, on a blue-sky background.
