Bruno Munari (1907-19989), italian designer, painter and writer, was with Lucio Fontana one of the most important artists of the italian scene of the 20th century thanks to his researches on visual (painting, sulpture, cinema, industrial design and graphics) and non-visual arts (writing and poetry) concerning the concepts of movement, light and creativity.

Close to the Futurism at the beginning of his career, he takes distance during the 1930s with his La macchina aerea («Aerial Machine»), one of the first mobiles of the history of art.

During 1948 he founded with Gillo Dorfles et some others the MAC (« Concrete Art Mouvement »), a point of attraction for the italian abstract mouvement. During 1949 he created Concavo-convesso, one of the first installations of the history of art : art become an ambiance and the viewer takes part of it with a multisensory perspective. He is considered one of the fathers of kinetic art and he is appreciated for his creativity without limits and categories.

Christel Sadde (1968) is a French artist who began her career in graphic design and then developed a passion for Calder. She began to draw mobiles inspired by geometrical abstraction and kinetic art. In 2003, she created her company Volabile following to an order of 50 mobiles by the Sentou Gallery. More recently, she began to create “stabiles”, sculptures on solid base where small mobile were hang. Her artwork is considered as decoration items and also as geometrical, aerial and shiny. Some of her pieces pay tribute to major artists of the 20thcentury such as Vassily Kandinsky, Kasimir Malevitch or François Morellet.
