Master in 4 February 1784. The son of a German sculptor, he was born in Herrnheim, Hesse. Established Chabanais street, he received orders from the administration of the Menus Plaisirs for various mahogany gaming tables. In 1788, he delivers at Versailles’ castle a large table in solid mahogany for the physics laboratory of the Children of France.

He continued to work until the end of the century, perhaps even until the beginning of the Empire. This cabinetmaker left in the classic Louis XVI style in turn of the century, some good furniture with rigorous lines and well proportioned, almost all mahogany and decorated with bronze rods.
