This small Louis XV style coffee table is part of the production house HUGNET. Located in the Faubourg Saint Antoine in Paris since 1846 is one of the most important cabinetmaking the entire city. Founded by F.HUGNET the production of this house has always been "true to an idea of the elegance of the eighteenth."

At the death of F.HUGNET, his son took over the company and opened two shops at 99 and at 56 Faubourg Saint Antoine. They work closely and make "furniture of all kinds, especially wood from Africa, buffets, complete furnishings in the newest tastes."

In 1880 it was Alexander HUGNET who take the following for the 99 rue du Faubourg Saint Antoine before be relocated to 69 there or the company still continues today.

Our lovely little table dates from the late nineteenth and is the perfect example of the family talent and HUGNET company for the copy and reproduction, always taste very good, and antique furniture.
